PRIVACY POLICY

1. OUR TOTAL COMMITMENT TO YOUR PRIVACY

FAI is totally committed to respecting your privacy and providing a secure environment through which you can take advantage of the on-line courses and activities that we offer. This policy lets you know what our privacy practices are and our effort to keep you informed of the information that we collect and how we may use it. We may change this policy periodically to reflect new rules and regulations that may impact your privacy, so we suggest you review this policy on a regular basis for any changes.

2. THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW IT IS USED

Only you can make the decision to give us your personal information and take advantage of any of the courses or activities that FAI offers. However, you need to be aware that if you decide to not provide the information requested, you will probably not be able to complete certain transactions with FAI.

Sometimes, such as when you register for a course, or make other inquiries, we may ask you for specific information about yourself so that we can provide a product or service to you. We may need certain personal information such as name, contact and billing information, and transaction and credit card information.

Some FAI web pages use cookies. These are small data files that are transferred from our web server to your browser. The file contains information that may later be read back to our web server for recording purposes. Use of cookies is standard on the internet and can improve the service that we provide to you. You may modify your browser to reject cookies or to notify you whenever a cookie is sent to your hard drive. If you reject a cookie sent by FAI, you may still access the site, but the access may be limited.

We sometimes collect your email address for purposes of sending confirmation emails and other information. We may collect other personal information if you provide it in feedback or comments, post it on our interactive forums, or if you contact us directly. Please do not post any personal information on FAI forums that you expect to keep private.

Our web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served, including your ID, address, page URL, and time stamp. Web logs help us to diagnose problems with our server, to administer the FAI site, and to otherwise provide our service to you.

3. SHARING OF INFORMATION

FAI will not sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to any individual or organization. However, if you have registered for a course through your employer, union, association, university or any other organization, that organization can monitor the date you registered, how much you paid, your e-mail address and your last login date. We allow this so that the organization can monitor their efforts in promoting financial literacy. Otherwise, FAI will only share the information you provide on-line through our forums or any other information you allow us to share. Please remember that when you submit information to a discussion group, the information submitted will be deemed public and will not be considered confidential.

4. EMAIL ADDRESS

Your email address is the primary method that FAI uses to notify you of any billing information or other services that you request from FAI. FAI will not sell, rent, or lease your email or personally identifiable information to any other person or organization.

5. LINKS

FAI may provide links to third-party websites, which may have different privacy practices. We are not responsible for, nor have any control over, the privacy policies of those third-party websites, and encourage all users to read the privacy policies of each and every website visited.

6. DATA WE STORE

All postings are stored in our data base, even after deletion, and may be archived elsewhere. Our web logs and other records may be stored indefinitely. Although we make good faith efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment that is not publicly available, we cannot guarantee complete security as we don't believe anyone can on the internet.

7. CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH FAI MAY RELEASE INFORMATION

FAI may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders or other legal processes. FAI may also disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our terms of use; respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of FAI, its users or the general public.

8. HOW TO ACCESS AND CORRECT YOUR INFORMATION

You can update your registration information anytime by clicking on the Edit Profile link on the Table of Contents page.

9. NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
